- Summary
- Paul Muni was considered one of the best film actors of the 1930s, and while he was frequently accused of overacting, he was also noted and lauded for his intense preparation for his roles, especially biographies. Muni was born into an acting family, both of his parents were professional actors, and he made his stage debut at age 12. Muni was renowned for his skill at character makeup which, combined with acting which emphasized vocal control and gestures, produced a style that was unique. This lavishly illustrated study features a complete filmography of Paul Muni's films. Each film is addressed in detail and presented in date order.
