- Summary
- Dramatization of the life of Rosa Luxemburg, a Polish Jewess by birth, who became German through an unconsummated marriage. She was known as "Red Rose" ("Rote Rosa") because of her active participation in the German socialist and communist movements at the beginning of the twentieth century. For her pacifism she spent World War I in prison. She was later murdered by the rightists during the Spartacist uprisings in Berlin after the war.
