Summary

Set in rural France, Jean de Florette is the story of Jean Cadoret, a hunchback peasant who inherits a farm from his mother and strives to become a gentleman farmer. However, his powerful neighbor plots to steal his land. In Manon des sources, which is set ten years later, Jean\u0027s daughter determines to take revenge upon the men responsible for the death of her father.
