- Performer Alina Troyano, best known for playing a larger-than-life persona Carmelita Tropicana, discusses her work with Ramón Espejo and Javier Antonio González. Troyano discusses her move in childhood from Cuba to New York City, her early theater work, and the creation of Carmelita Tropicana, as well as other characters she has portrayed. She speaks of the theater venues where she has performed her work, especially the WOW Café and INTAR, and several of her mentors, including María Irene Fornés, Max Ferra, and Eduardo Machado.
