Local Note
The Schomburg Center's Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division's copy is probably one of the books added to the collection when Catherine A. Latimer was the collection librarian; and Lawrence Reddick was the Curator. Imperfect: disbound, stained, brittle, and part of the text may be lacking. Currently housed in a black cloth library binding tri-fold folder and slipcase; and gilt spine. The tri-fold container includes a 1940 onward NYPL bookplate of "The Schomburg Collection of Negro Literature and History." This item may have been bounded with other pamphlets; there are no stamps or early processing markings from the original Schomburg Collection.
