Summary

A promotional film for the Martha Graham Dance Company. The first section is a short history of Martha Graham and the development of her modern dance technique. Included in this section are still photographs of Martha Graham in various choreographic works and short interviews with Liza Minnelli and Mikhail Baryshnikov. There is also footage of Martha Graham working with her company on the creation of Maple leaf rag. The short promotional film concludes with the company's performance of Maple leaf rag at the Opéra de Paris in November 1991.
