- Bobby Sharp, 1924-2013, was a singer, songwriter and musician who was active during the 1950s-1960s. His most notable song was "Unchain My Heart," which was a hit recording for singer Ray Charles in 1961 and the focus of a publishing rights lawsuit that Sharp won in the early 1970s. His father was concert tenor Louis Sharp.
