Description
1 videocassette (VHS) (87 min.) : sound, color; 1/2 in.
Summary
Panel discussion devoted to the current Broadway production of Aaron Sorkin's drama A few good men. Producers Bernard Jacobs and David Brown describe some of the challenges involved in presenting a non-musical show by an unknown playwright. Jacobs expounds on some of the difficulties producers face (regulations, taxation, etc.) in dealing with the city of New York, while Brown, who is also a film producer, compares and contrasts his experiences in theater and in motion pictures. Stuart Thompson, general manager for A few good men, talks about his day-to-day work with the show. Linda Lehman, in charge of advertising for the production, discusses her strategy for attracting ticket-buyers using print, radio, and various media. The panelists discuss factors behind the steady rise in ticket prices, and also take questions from the audience.
