- Summary
- Peter Stone, playwright and screenwriter, discusses his work as a librettist with interviewer Pia Lindstrom. It is the librettist who writes the "book," or script, for a stage musical. Stone explains how this kind of work differs from writing a non-musical play, and why he prefers writing librettos. He discusses several he has written, including 1776 and The Will Rogers follies.
