Summary
A probing inside look at the black middle class that aired on National Educational Television (NET), a precursor to Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), on April 29, 1968, three weeks after the assassination of Martin Luther King. The Emmy nominated documentary presents a variety of nuanced perspectives from the emerging middle class during this culturally and politically tumultuous period capturing, as Greaves described it, "a mental revolution" and the "increased militancy in the black experience."
