  • Programs (1935 - 1943) for Pride and prejudice, adapted by Helen Jerome from the novel by Jane Austen, documenting the original Broadway production with Adrianne Allen as Elizabeth Bennet and subsequent regional, amateur, college, and university revivals. Of note is the 1936 London production with Celia Johnson as Elizabeth Bennet; Ellen Haven Gould's 1936 all-woman production for The Alabama Players; Margo Jones's 1938 production for the Houston (Tx.) Community Playhouse.
