  • Folio collection of 58 negro songs with text and piano accompaniment, on 2-3 leaves each; Of the 58 pieces 47 have full-page lithographed titles (some repeated, 3 in colors) depicting minstrel groups. Bound into dark blue blind and gilt stamped cloth with gilt lettering "Nigger Songs" on front cover.
  • Collection of famous negro minstrel songs which were originally published as separate pieces of sheet music and bound in one volume.
  • A note on the front fly-leaf indicates that the volume was presented to the famous Austrian pianist and composer Carl Czerny by his pupil and friend.
