- This publication has been produced as an accompaniment to the exhibition project, Olaf Nicolai - Escalier du Chant, held at the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen - Pinakothek der Moderne, München, January-December 2011.
- An introduction and collected brochures issued in conjunction with a sound installation in which twelve international composers were invited to compose a capella vocal works that referred to political events of current significance to them. These works were performed on the central staircase of the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich, on twelve Sundays in 2011. The publication includes photographs, statements from the composers, information on the compositions and examples of the musical notation for each work.
