Summary
Mikhail Baryshnikov and White Oak Dance Project on their Japanese tour. Baryshnikov performs with John Gardner and Rebecca Rigert in "El Penitente", pairs with Gardner in "Concerto Six Twenty-Two", and solos in "Three Preludes." The entire company performs in "Waiting for the Sunrise", and all but Baryshnikov dance in "A Lake". The strongest audience reaction occurs during the "knife dance" section of "Waiting for the Sunrise", when Baryshnikov and Rob Besserer elicit applause and a roar of approval.
