Summary
Program devoted to Tennessee Williams and his friend and sometime producer Cheryl Crawford. Actor Geraint Wyn Davies reads from Williams' letters to Crawford, mainly concerning his plays The rose tattoo, Camino real, and Sweet bird of youth. The correspondence covers the playwright's development of those works, his involvement with Hollywood, and his negotiations with actress Anna Magnani regarding the film version of The rose tattoo. Audio recordings of Williams singing and reciting poetry are played as well.
