Patricia Neal and Joel Vig read a passage from Foster Hirsch's book about the Shuberts, The boys from Syracuse, focusing on the last hours of John Shubert's life. Stephen Mo Hanan discusses Al Jolson, a star performer who worked exclusively with the Shuberts in his Broadway appearances. Hanan also performs three songs associated with Jolson.
