Summary
Based on a performance given by Meredith Monk at the Almeida Theatre, Islington, London as part of a New York/Almeida Festival. The documentary incorporates performance and conversations with Monk, an artist of many media, who has transcended the accepted boundaries of vocal song. She is her own composer, choreographer, and filmmaker who blends all of these into a unique style and content of performance. Here she performs with her vocal group.
