  • The four discs consist of three recordings made on separate occasions.
  • Disc 1 (track 1, ca. 1:10 min. to track 12), in Japanese: Yeichi Nimura, Murai (first name unidentified), and Mariko Ike engage in general conversation regarding Buddhist monks and Nimura's age. The handwritten notes in the original container indicate that this part of the recording was made on November 25, 1960.
  • Disc 1 (track 12, ca. 3:00 min.) to the end of disc 2, in Japanese: Yeichi Nimura engages in general conversation with Mizukoshi [first name unidentified], regarding Mizukoshi's father, Shingo Mizukoshi, regarding Japan, and billiards. The handwritten notes in the original container indicate that this part of the recording was made on December 10, 1960.
  • Discs 3-4, in English: Recording of a television program. It appears that Lisan Kay and Yeichi Nimura are watching. There is some conversation between Kay and Nimura; however the voices are soft and not always intelligible. The handwritten notes in the original container read "December 17, 1960. TV Rashomon."
  • The sound quality is fair in disc 1. The sound quality is good in discs 2, 3, and 4.
