- Note
- The eight discs consist of five recordings made on separate occasions.
- Disc 1 (track 1 to track 3, ca. 1:40 min.), in English and Japanese: Yeichi Nimura and Lisan Kay briefly speak with an unidentified Japanese female. It appears that they were taking photographs together. There is very little dialogue. The recording date is unknown.
- Disc 1 (track 5, ca. 1:45 min.) to disc 2 (track 9, ca. 2:40 min.), in English and Japanese: Yeichi Nimura, Gemze de Lappe, and Aiko Ohtaki discuss the production of the musical comedy Oklahoma by Takarazuka Kagekidan in Japan. The handwritten notes in the original container read "Oct. 7, [1966]. Ohtaki & Gemze about sending Oklahoma to Japan. Takarazuka."
- Disc 2 (track 9, ca. 2:45 min.) to disc 4 (track 8), in Japanese: Yeichi Nimura engages in conversation with Natsuya Mitsuyoshi. In disc 2, Nimura mainly discusses the Nimura Award with Mitsuyoshi. In discs 3 and 4, Nimura talks about his experience as a Japanese in the U.S. during World War II. The handwritten notes in the original container indicate that the recording was made on Oct. 12, [1966].
- Disc 5 (track 1, ca. 2:40 min.) to disc 6 (track 5, ca. 0:10 min.), in Japanese: Yeichi Nimura engages in conversation with Natsuya and Kayoko Mitsuyoshi, and Mitsuyoshi's friend, Nishimura (first name unidentified). Nimura talks about dance and the biography of Nimura, written by Tatsuo Nagata. The majority of the conversation is between Nimura and Natsuya Mitsuyoshi. Nimura makes remarks about Martha Graham, Anton Dolin, and Louis Horst. Nimura announces at the end of the recording that Natsuya Mitsuyoshi came to the U.S. to observe dance for one month, and that the recording was made on September 9, 1966.
- Disc 6 (track 5, ca. 0:35 min.) to disc 7 (track 6), in Japanese and English: Yeichi Nimura and Lisan Kay engage in an informal, general conversation with Natsuya and Kayoko Mitsuyoshi. It appears that they are waiting for more guests to arrive, and there is very little conversation. In disc 7 (track 7), Kay and Kayoko Mitsuyoshi leave the room. From disc 7 (track 7) to disc 8 (in Japanese), Nimura and Natsuya Mitsuyoshi discuss Nimura's biography. Nimura asks Mitsuyoshi to edit Nimura's biography, translated by Shigeyoshi Suga, and to be in charge of its publication. Nimura and Natsuya Mitsuyoshi also discuss the Nimura Award. The handwritten notes in the original container read "Sept. 11 and 18, 1966. Mr. & Mrs. Natsuya Mitsuyoshi dinner party & talk about my biography & Nimura Award in Japan." It is uncertain whether the recording date is Sept. 11 or 18.
- The sound quality is good in discs 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8. The sound quality is fair in disc 5, as the dialogue is at times marred by extraneous noise.
