Summary
Rudy Perez discusses the choreographer, dancer, and teacher Mary Anthony. He talks about how they met at the New Dance Group when he first took her modern dance class, his first experiences with Anthony as a teacher, the imagery she used in class, her most important qualities, what she brought to the world of dance, and when he creating the work, To Mary with love, for a studio performance. This interview concludes with a discussion of the differences between living in New York City and Los Angeles, using Anthony as a reference when teaching dance classes, and a close-up photograph of Perez performing in his work, To Mary with love.
