- Behind the scenes at the Russian ballet (ca. 50 min.). Introductory remarks by announcer identified only as Rex Benwehr [spelling uncertain]. Irving Deakin speaks about ballet appreciation and ballet audiences in the U.S.; the actors Kyra Alanova, Laura Baxter, Bartlett Robinson, Vita [or Vida] Fox, George Ryan, Donald MacKinnon [?], and Ellen Peretto [?] enact a series of related scenarios concerning the appreciation, production (including class and other backstage aspects), and performance of a Russian ballet company, accompanied by recorded music, live piano music played by Charlotte Homer, and Deakin's commentary; the scenarios dramatized include excerpts from Fokine's ballet Petrouchka. Closing remarks and announcements including identification of the actors playing the various characters in the foregoing dramatization.
