- Shows Arturo Toscanini conducting the NBC Symphony Orchestra in a radio broadcast of Verdi's Overture to Forza del destino. Recounts the contributions of Toscanini and other great Italians to democracy, and shows Toscanini conducting the NBC Symphony, the Westminster Choir and Jan Peerce in a radio broadcast of Verdi's Hymn of the nations, in a special performance commemorating the liberation of Italy.
