- Summary
- Photographed over four seasons, this film provides a rare look at the Amish, a religious community that separates itself from most modern technology. The Amish people are seen doing farm work, creating elaborate quilts and attending school. No narrator is used; the Amish speak for themselves. Amish hymns, composed in the 1500s and passed down orally, complete the soundtrack.
