- Summary
- Composer and author Mary Rodgers discusses her life and career with Jesse Green. Rodgers, who is the daughter of composer Richard Rodgers and the mother of composer Adam Guettel, discusses growing up in her father's household, her own career as a writer of music for the stage, and raising her son. She reminisces about her experience as composer of the successful show Once upon a mattress, touches upon other shows she worked on, and explains why she ultimately chose not to continue working in theatre. She also talks about her career as an author of children's books, other professional activities, and her current work on an autobiography.
