- Summary
- Playwright Paula Vogel discusses her play Desdemona, an original drama which utilizes characters from William Shakespeare's Othello. Vogel discusses the central characters of the play, describes how she came to write her own story for them, and then shows an excerpt from the 1993 Off-Broadway production of Desdemona. After the video clip she fields questions from the audience, and details her writing process and how she works with directors and actors.
