- Description
- 1 videocassette (VHS) (87 min.) : sd., col.; 1/2 in.
- Summary
- Introduces the world of musical theater as seen through the eyes, style and performance techniques of David Craig.
- The third of six master classes by musical theatre singing instructor David Craig. In this class, Craig examines the song's "subtext," or what the song means to the performer. Craig guides two performers through a series of five exercises which require them to 1) find the objective meaning of the song in their own words; 2) develop a subjective script about the song's main character, or find the "me" in the song; 3) express physically their subjective understanding of the song, and lastly, combine these elements into a fully realized performance.
