- This program is devoted to the early works of George Balanchine, and includes excerpts from The four temperaments and Apollo, presented first in coaching sessions and performed in costume at the end of the program. Todd Bolender speaks about his role in the original production of The four temperaments and how Balanchine choreographed for specific dancers. Peter Martins speaks about performing Apollo and its significance to his career, and about Balanchine's ideas about partnering.
