- Summary
- This full-day program presented three works in progress developed during artistic residencies at Yellow Springs, and a lecture by Gene Youngblood. On disc 1 John Clauser introduces the themes explored by the program; sound quality of this introduction is extremely poor. Performances of Sueños appears on both disc 1 and disc 2; disc 1 also includes an introduction by Ruth Maleczech and slides of designs for the piece. On disc 3, Kit Galloway and Sherrie Rabinowitz present portions of their works Hole in space and Electronic café, which used satellite technology to create live video events. On disc 4, Gene Youngblood lectures on his artistic and social theories, the influence of technology on contemporary art and society, and the works presented by Galloway and Rabinowitz. Performances of Califas appears on both disc 5 and disc 6.
