- Summary
- Profile of the New York Shakespeare Festival. Focus is on the Festival's current productions, including Shakespeare's Richard IV, and Romeo and Juliet, starring Susan McArthur and Martin Sheen, directed by Gerald Freedman, at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park; The play The memorandum at the Public Theater; the Mobile Theater tour featuring a musical for kids called Take one step; and a version of Hamlet performed for New York City high school students, starring Cleavon Little, adapted and directed by Joseph Papp. Program includes interview with Papp. It also features excerpts from Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and The memorandum, restaged for the camera.
