- Videodisc one (ca. 7 min.): The today show, aired WNBC-TV, Channel 4, 6/11/80. Gene Shalit interviews A chorus line creator Michael Bennett on the 2000th performance of the musical. Bennett discuss the recently made motion picture deal for A chorus line, his experience working in Hollywood and decision not to direct the movie, his oversight of the various touring company productions of A chorus line, and receiving his honorary high school diploma from the city of Buffalo. Tape ends abruptly following Shalit's introduction of Rita Rehn, who stars in the Boston company production of A chorus line.
