Summary

Compilation of television coverage related to the 1990 New York Shakespeare Festival production The taming of the shrew, at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Thirteen segments aired June 27 to July 13, 1990. The play, set in the American West of the late 1880s, featured Tracey Ullman as Kate and Morgan Freeman as Petruchio. This version of the play was conceived and directed by A.J. Antoon. Interviews with Freeman and Ullman and performance excerpts.
