Summary
Profile of German modern dance choreographer Reinhild Hoffmann, who is seen in the city of Bremen, where she lives and works. The documentary examines the formal and philosophical issues she explores in her choreography, and is illustrated with excerpts from her works Solo with sofa (to a sound collage by John Cage), Weed garden [Unkrautgarten], and Wedding [Hochzeit], set to Igor Stravinsky's Les noces. She is also seen in rehearsal with members of the Bremen Ballett [later called Tanztheater Bremen], some of whom discuss their observations of her work.
