Description
2 sound discs (95 min.) : digital, stereo; 4 3/4 in.
Summary
A layered tape piece inspired by the Fauré Requiem. "There were nine notes at the end of the requiem that struck me for some reason and I started working with them, just those nine notes. That single phrase repeated without changing for the first fifteen minutes of the piece . . . Then I made a lot of loops and added harmonic drones underneath and modulated the sound . . . Eventually there were about fifteen different tape recorders so everything became densely overlaid."--Igor Demjen quoted in Shyer.
