- Summary
- Host Melba Tolliver discusses Off Off-Broadway theater with Pete Masterson of the Actors Studio, Marjorie Moore of the Billie Holiday Theatre, Gail Merrifield of the Public Theater and Craig Anderson of the Hudson Guild Theatre. The guests discuss the definintion of Off Off Broadway, its role as testing ground for new talent and venue for theatrical experimentation, how it functions economically and socially, and some of the activities of the Off- and Off Off-Broadway theaters with which they are associated, including discussion by Merrifield about the development of the one-woman play Miss Margarida's way at the Public Theater. Includes brief performance footage from various Off Off-Broadway productions.
