Summary
Television program containing an edited version of a documentary about the creation of The black rider (a theatrical collaboration between Robert Wilson, Tom Waits, and William S. Burroughs). This documentary follows the play's development from rehearsals in September 1989 to the theatrical premiere on March 31, 1990 at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, Germany. Includes footage of interviews with Wilson, Waits, and Burroughs as well as rehearsals and excerpts of scenes from the premiere.
