Disc 1 features Mary Peer playing piano and speaking about the Byrd Hoffman School of Byrds and Robert Wilson (ca. 58 min.). Following Peer is a recorded introduction to The king of Spain (ca. 8 min.). Both of these recordings were played over loudspeakers as the audience entered the theater. Disc 2 features Robert Wilson discussing the origins of The king of Spain (ca. 55 min.). Following Wilson is an unidentified musical excerpt (ca. 1 min.).
