Summary
This performance and reception celebrated Liz Thompson's tenth anniversary as director of Jacob's Pillow. Norton Owen and Sara Neece, serving as masters of ceremony, present humorous readings and limericks in Thompson's honor. Jess Meeker and Daniel Duell perform the second movement of Bach's Concerto in F minor arranged for flute and piano; Norwood Pennewell performs an untitled solo; Linda Kent performs a solo titled In transit; Victoria Marks performs a piece adapted from her work Fiction, set to Ravel's Bolero, with Thompson as a participant; Gayle Tufts performs a song about Thompson. These performances last approximately 45 min. The remainder of the tape contains footage of guests eating and talking during the reception.
