- Wendy Perron, associate director of Jacob's Pillow, introduces the program. The performances are followed by a question-and-answer session with Jeff McMahon, Denise Taylor, Johanna Boyce and the dancers. Topics include McMahon's and Boyce's creative processes; Taylor's collaboration with McMahon; feminism in Surrender, mouth to breast and the response of male audience members to the piece; political issues and didacticism in McMahon's work; solo versus ensemble performance work; issues of body image in Surrender. The dancers appearing in Surrender introduce themselves and describe how they began working with Boyce.
