- Summary
- Discussion on Shakespeare with producer/director Joseph Papp, actors Meagan Fay and William Duff-Griffin and New York City area schoolchildren. Papp speaks about his childhood in Brooklyn, New York; Shakespeare's influence on his knowledge of drama; analyzing Shakespeare's language; the Belasco Project, an educational program in Shakespeare for New York City high school students; the qualities that make a good Shakespearean actor; and the memorization of Shakespeare. Fay and Duff-Griffen perform a scene from Shakespeare's Twelfth night and then discuss acting Shakespeare. High school students Monique Marshall, Carl Tramon, and Sarah Rosen recite from various Shakespearean works and discuss, along with students Jermaine Shoulders, Ken Park and Sheree Greene, their experiences studying and performing Shakespeare.
