- Summary
- Segment 1: Slump on Broadway aired WNBC-TV, Channel 4. Begins at 27:30 and ends at 30:30. That the play Plenty by David Hare is the 24th show to open on Broadway this season while 14 others have closed is cited as evidence of an economic slump on Broadway. Possible factors contributing to the slump include bad reviews, poor productions and declining theater attendance. Includes interviews with theater executive Bernard Jacobs, New York Times drama critic Frank Rich and Joseph Papp, director of the New York Shakespeare Festival.
- Segment 2: Ten o'clock news, aired WNEW-TV, Channel 5. Begins at 76:00 and ends at 79:00. Stewart Klein reviews the play Plenty by David Hare, which has moved to the Plymouth Theater on Broadway after its run at the Public Theater in New York. Includes brief performance footage featuring actress Kate Nelligan.
- Segment 3: aired WCBS-TV news, Channel 2. Begins at 99:00 and ends at 103:00. Dennis Cunningham reviews the play Plenty by David Hare. Includes brief performance footage.
