Summary
The two programs on this tape present informal performances by students and interns at Jacob's Pillow, including parodies of companies appearing in the 1984 season. The first program, Star search, includes a jazz dance ensemble; a flamenco dance by Yloy Ybarra; two songs performed by Buford Green; and parodies of director Liz Thompson, a television commercial, Mobile (choreographed by Tomm Ruud), a talk show with ballet dancers as guests, and Martha Graham technique. At the end of the program Liz Thompson is presented with a mock award. The second program includes a parody of breakdancing; poetry readings; comedy skits; a dance performed by Blondell Cummings in a nun's habit; and a parody of Caravanserai (choreographed by Talley Beatty.)
