- Cassette 1 (ca. 90 min.) 3/3/03. Mr. Evans discusses his childhood, family background and early interest in performing; going to New York and auditioning for shows; first performing experience in the national tour of Damn Yankees; other early auditions and shows; his experience at the Moulin Rouge nightclub in Los Angeles; working with Bob Fosse on New girl in town and the relationship of that show to Fosse's later work; joining the cast of West Side story; his feelings and experiences in relation to the union Actors' Equity [Association]; the show Redhead; the film version of West Side story; his experiences working on Mary Poppins and Anyone can whistle.
