- Segment two: Entertainment tonight, aired Channel 7, August 13, 1987, 7:30 p.m. Report on the audtions for a dog to appear onstage in The mystery of Edwin Drood. Brief footage of Betty Buckley in performance. Includes audition footage with performer Donna Murphy.
- Segment three: Live at five, aired Channel 4, August 18, 1986, 5:00 p.m. Carol Martin interviews Loretta Swit about her role in The mystery of Edwin Drood. Includes footage of Swit performing the number Wages of sin.
- Segment four: The morning show, aired Channel 7, August 21, 1986, 9:00 a.m. Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Johnson (a/k/a Kathie Lee Gifford) interview actor Burt Young about his role in Cuba and his Teddy bear. Young discusses his experiences working with the actors Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone.

McKechnie also mentions her marriage to director/choreographer Michael Bennett and her recent experience playing Cassie during a tour in Japan.
