Summary
  • Dancing for life was an AIDS benefit given Oct. 5, 1987 at the New York State Theater. Jerome Robbins served as artistic coordinator for the event. In a section of the program titled Dancing to Mozart, the Theme and variations from Divertimento no. 15 was performed by New York City Ballet and the Adagio from Concerto six twenty-two was performed by Lar Lubovitch Dance Company. Symphonie concertante, the Andante movement of which is recorded on this tape, was not performed in the Dancing for life program.
