Summary
Consists of a five minute excerpt from Immigrant voices, a dramatic extravaganza with music which was performed at Ellis Island in New York Harbor June 10-11, 1991. The text, which is recited in turn by several actors, was compiled by Geoffrey Ward from the words of real-life immigrants. The performances took place in conjunction with the New York International Festival of the Arts, which occurred June 8-23, 1991.
