336 contact prints, the majority probably taken by Claire Holt, some duplicating photographs found elsewhere in this collection. Subjects include dance, festivals, architecture, people, and scenery.
Among the Balinese dance subjects are: Barong, Wayang kulit, Baris, Baris omang, Baris dadap, Joged bungbung, Wayang wong (Ramayana). Javanese dance subjects include: Reog, Barong, Jatilan, street dancing, dance technique (stepping), hand gestures, Sugianto as Gatotkaca dancing the Kiprah, Klono (both with and without mask), Bedoyo, Serimpi, Djaikem demonstrating the Golek and (as a talèdèk) the Gambyong (she is also seen in the Langendriya role of Menak Djingga), the Wayang wong play Arjuna Wiwaha, Garebeg, and dance sculptures from Prambanan and Borobudur.
