Among the many dances and dance subjects represented are: the mambo, cha-cha, tango, and other Latin dances ; the Harvest Moon Ball ; rock and roll dancing ; the stroll, Madison, twist ; disco dancing ; break dancing; voguing ; hip-hop ; and others. Feature films represented include The band wagon (1953) ; Jailhouse rock (1957) ; Beach blanket bingo (1965) ; Hair (1979) ; Saturday night fever (1977). Excerpts from the film Paris is burning (1992) and several music videos are seen in footage from the documentary Everybody dance now (1991).
