Catterson discusses changes in her choreographic approach over the years ; her admiration for individualism ; her experiences of working with Yvonne Rainer and Mikhail Baryshnikov on Rainer's After many a summer dies the swan, a work staged for the White Oak Dance Project.

He praises Viola Farber's special qualities as a dancer.

  • Lance Westergard (ca. 14 min.) / interviewed by James Cunningham. Westergard recalls working with choreographers Antony Tudor, Lotte Goslar, and Anna Sokolow ; discusses the difficulties of starting a dance career today.
