Topics include the dance critic's relationship to his/her readers, including both artists and the viewing public ; making dance criticism more productive ; the relationship between journalistic and academic writing ; the Internet's effects on writers. Ralph Lemon discusses his own experiences as an artist turned writer.

Halverson discusses online dance publications ; the future of publishing on the Internet ; what writers can do now. Belans discusses the positive and negative implications of Internet publishing. Biehl addresses issues of electronic rights, describing different types of agreements currently in use in print and online publications ; problems of copyright violations on the Internet ; organizations that assist writers. Siegel discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the Internet from the user's point of view.
