  • Paul Berkowsky was the founding vice-president of the League of Off-Broadway Theatres and Producers. His career included managing over 24 productions for New York City's Phoenix Theatre, serving as general manager for the Theatre de Lys (now the Lucille Lortel Theatre) for twelve years, managing over 100 local and touring productions included Yentl, Dames at sea, Collette, and For colored girls who have considered suicide, producing So long on Lonely Street (with Cheryl Crawford), Shimada, and Swinging on a star.
